Our Founder
Troy Koerntjes
Founder & CEO
Troy is a qualified counsellor and the founder of multiple purpose-driven organisations, all centred-on care, recovery, and community. His leadership is shaped by deep lived experience, including addiction, trauma, and life as a former outlaw motorcycle club member.
Following a significant mental health crisis that brought him to rock bottom, Troy made a conscious decision to change the trajectory of his life. That turning point led him to formal study in mental health, addiction, and community services, a journey he describes as “transforming pain into purpose.”
Today, Troy leads a multidisciplinary team of professionals and peers who share similar lived experience backgrounds. This approach allows Complete Health Geelong to build genuine trust, connection, and engagement with people who are often complex, marginalised, or misunderstood. His work focuses on early intervention, identity rebuilding, and creating pathways toward meaning, purpose, and long-term wellbeing.
Troy is known for confronting stigma head-on and investing in grassroots, practical mental health initiatives that speak the language of lived experience. He actively supports and funds community programs that prioritise authenticity, accountability, and real-world outcomes over performative solutions.
With a strong track record in business, public speaking, and community advocacy, Troy also leverages his platform and influence to amplify mental health awareness, support emerging community leaders, and give back wherever possible. His mission is clear: to disrupt cycles of shame, disconnection, and self-destruction, and to show people that no matter how far gone they believe they are, change is always possible, especially when guided by someone who has walked that path before.
